Remember how you gazed in a daze at the skies?
I also recall how I complained when in cities
That hid the sky, or mountains, or trees
But I celebrate, in Grace, memories and opportunities
To contemplate the horizon and beyond
Northern sky, or Southern sky, First and third world
These won’t matter when you first detect they do twinkle
I was glad to watch for Venus at dawn, Orion unfold
Imagining the Cross of Jesus instead of a belt
Tonight seven stars serenade my bit of sky – just my patch!
