Poem about a door at a villa |
I am a door at a villa where many come to relax Some come for peace, some come for joy Stop by for refreshments of some kind or another. Enter in through my double doors See the flowers as you stroll by Stop by for refreshments of some kind or another. My last visitor came to paint the scenery I provide seclusion from everyday confusion Stop by for refreshments of some kind or another. If it is reading that you want, browse my shelves For the leaves in my books bring comfort to your soul If it is music that you want, just listen to the sounds of nature Won't you stop by for refreshments of some kind or another. Take a walk through the garden Enjoy the smells of nature Hear the birds, see the bees - its all free Stop by for refreshments of some kind or another. For you never know what pleasures, what joy you will find Stopping by for refreshments at the doors of my villa. Note: watercolor by author, Seabreeze 2.28.19 |
