Young teenagers at an Italian carnival
I was stationed in northern Italy, in the Air Force, many years ago. The wife and I lived in a small village named Vajont, near Aviano. There were many military personnel and there families living there. All but the young man in the center (wearing glasses) are American dependents. The young man with glasses is an Italian named Paolo Tomasella. We called him "Tommy."

On an interesting side note, I was able to reconnect with Tommy nearly 40 years later through a chance encounter in a FaceBook group. We still communicate to this day.
