This is Russell who died 2 years ago..still missed. |

This is Russell. After our old cat Charlie died of a stroke (she was 18 years old) we needed a new cat. There was an empty spot. So in the local paper...we saw to give away a female cat, declawed..that needed a home. Off we go. The female cat...turned into a male cat. The lady just didn't know. We were meant to find Russell. He ended up having a lot of medical problems. Not many people would spent the dollars or the time on cats with medical problems. But we do. So, we met Russell. The lady said he showed up at her door and that she could not keep him because she rented the house she was in. So, we played with Russell for awhile. He tried to bite my husband. The lady explained that she doesn't think he likes men. Oh great. So we decided to take Russell home anyway. He wasn't named Russell...we named him that. He was a red tiger cat. Well, the "red dog" as he was later nicked named turned into one awesome cat. I still miss this cat to this day. He first problem was a urinary blockage from a certain cat food. Off in the middle of the night for that... Then Russell got diabetes. He had to have insulin every day. He only lasted one year after that. I still miss this cat today very much. He was just such an awesome cat. Rest in peace my "Red Dog"........ |
