The pipe slips out of your hands, and hits the ground before you even notice.
What draws your attention is the crunch caused by your size 9 sneakers.
Suddenly you feel, like you're standing on quicksand, and starting to sink.
A sudden flash of light...and then darkness.
.......
Frankie...... Frankie....
You feel strong hands shaking you. And slowly you start to get your bearings....... Huh, Frankie?
You open your eyes and see.... You.... Looking at you with a concerned expression.
"Looks like you took a tumble there" Confused, you look around, and find yourself still in Frankies room laying on top of his bed.
"But... What's going...... The pipe!!"
You get out from under .... Jake, and leap to where you stomped on the blowpipe. There you found it, crushed into splintered wood.
You fall to your knees. "No, nonononono..... This can't be happening"
"Frankie?" You hear your voice ask. You turn around and look at Jake in the eyes.
"No, not Frankie you idiot" you yell back. "I'm you.... me... well, you're me... but so am I" .... "What the hell is going on?!"
A look of horror crosses his face.... "Jake?" ...... "YES!" You reply.
Jake lunges off the bed, and drops next you. He then grabs you face, peering deeply into your eyes. "How? How did this happen?"
You pry his hands from your face..... "What do you remember?"
Jake sits back, and thinks. "Last I remember, I blew a dart into you.... everthing after that feels like a dream." "I remember watching you get out of the chair and walk over to me, but I can't remember what you said." "Next thing I know i'm sitting on the bed, watching you jump..... then a light.... then nothing."
"Well, the blowpipe worked" you reply. "You were like a zombie, that'd do whatever I asked... I think" ... "You think?" Jake replied.
"Yeah, but before I could test it out, I accidentally broke the blowpipe." "It looks like my soul went back into you, but I don't know why, i'm still here, and I've got no idea what happened to Frankie"
Both you and Jake sat silent for a minute. Each unable to think about what to do next.
Suddenly, you hear your mom call out to Jake, to go get takout for dinner.
Both brothers look at each other, both knowing what the other is thinking.
Until they can figure out what to do, you will stay in Frankies body, and keep this secret.
