After a brief journey through the Decolore Islands, Ash and his friends, Iris and Cilan, arrived in Vermillion City. Ash’s friends had made plans to travel to Johto, but they decided to stay with Ash for a little longer, so they joined him as he traveled back to Pallet Town to visit his mother.

A few days later, the three Pokémon trainers were walking south from Viridian City, with Ash’s Pikachu walking alongside Ash, and Iris’ Axew walking beside her, when a member of the group found something on the side of the road. It was a remote of some kind, with all sorts of buttons on it.

Who picked up the remote?
