A tale of an old man...

The Old Man waited patiently for his routine Number 84 double decker bus to arrive. It was late, which was odd, because this particular bus was never late. Ever. The Old Man looked carefully around him and realised he was the only other person waiting. Which was also odd, as it was typically a mob and struggle to get on the bus at this time.

He didn't mind waiting, enjoying the light drizzle of rain fall upon his face. It was a cold night too, the ice breeze piercing his clothes and sending a chill through his body.

He waited for another twenty minutes or so and when he was just about to give up and call a cab, he saw the lit up figures of the Number 84 and headlights down the road. The beam of light showered a magical image of rain specks falling.

The double decker bus came to a gradient stop and he heard the doors open which he always thought sounded like burst tires.

When the Old Man's eyes fell upon the driver, a new chill was sent down his spine. He froze and his eyes went wide.

"Good, evening, Old Man. It's time."
