First Thoughts: The title and the description of this essay hooked me. This pieces reveals the heart break of Alzheimer's disease.

What I liked: This is my favorite phrase, Mom was a slave to the disease for eight years, because it perfectly describes the life of someone carrying for an Alzheimer's sufferer. I also like the quote from the eulogy.

Final Thoughts: This is an emotional and thought provoking piece. Write on.
