First Thoughts: The first stanza of this poem establishes the mood, rhythm, rhyme scheme, and hooks the reader. The rhythm carries the plot forward from stanza to stanza while revealing a beautiful picture of a honey bee working.

What I liked: My favorite stanza is the last because it reveals the change in the speakers actions and beliefs about the honey bee.

Final Thoughts: This is a thought provoking poem. Write on.
