The part of all that is written above that captured me were the words "Cubbies Win" because that great happening after more than a hundred years was on my mind. hmmm, as for interpreting the poem, of course there could be many meanings about how places, like the bridge, change; lives change'; worshippers change; "you never know what's going to happen one day to the next." So it is with intreptering the meaning for a poem; every reader has a lifelong of thoughts and experiences that lead to the present moment whether thinking of our Cubs finally winning or about bridges or poetry.

I enjoyed your introduction about who/how a poem is interpreted. I always got good grades in classes where my own ideas could be spoken whether about the meaning of a poem or the why of a novel. Think of the Novel "Gone with the Wind" and all the meanings readers could apply to the very existence of the novel.
