Greetings, Jinks!
I’m no expert on poetry, mainly cuz I don’t understand it most of the time, but I do understand where you were going with this, and I totally agree.
To put it simply, you could just title this piece ‘Hypocrisy’, because that’s exactly what all those folks are doing! Being hypocrites and doing what they tell us what we shouldn’t do!
It reminded me of that old saying, ‘The pot calling the kettle black’.
The one word in this that really stood out to me was ‘authority’. To me, that represents government officials and all ‘higher-ups’ who keep sticking their hands in the cookie jar when they don’t think anybody’s watching.
Well guess, boyz and girlz? You’ve either BEEN caught, or you soon will GET caught!
