You're my chosen "blue case" port to raid for the WDC Angel Army's July challenge. It's also my little way of saying thank you for running the Quills for so many years!

INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW:
I loved your poem and think you did a great job making it feel like lyrics.

You were able to take a current and very highly charged topic and not only make it rhyme but make it sensible and logical while also appealing to your readers' emotions. Great job!

MORE DETAILED FEEDBACK:
This poem of yours caught my eye because of the title. I totally believe in doing the right thing so don't need much persuasion (the tricky part is when the right thing isn't very clear). The subtitle is what made me click to read because I wanted to read what you had to say about it.

I appreciated that you recognized a variety of feelings... as in this line: "It's okay for you to be frightened, to be upset or horrified."

While your whole poem is great, my favorite part was the end, because of its power:
"To do nothing is to have made that choice, for inaction is compliance,
you'll show your colours loud and clear from within even your silence."

Your poem is well written, flows nicely and evoked strong feelings in me as I read it.

I liked how you structured your poem.

I didn't notice any mistakes of any kind in your poem.

I'm not familiar with the song you based your lyrics on but I could feel a rhythm throughout the poem/lyrics. I think your rhyming contributed greatly to that feel.

You wrote a fantastic, important poem that I greatly enjoyed. Well done!
