My impression of this item was: This is a poem about dads. I agree with your sentiment that anybody can be a sperm donor but it takes someone special to be a dad. I also agree that as fathers we are not obligated to make the mistakes our fathers made. The old adage that the apple usually doesn't fall far from the tree depends on the apple. Some apples roll a long way from the tree. I am glad you are one of the good apples.

Your spelling and grammar: looked great to me.

What I liked most: I liked everything. The message was strong and the rhyme scheme good.
