This is a well written description of a fugitive evading and, ultimately, defeating his pursuers. The setting is some time in the future but revealed to be imaginative as the twist at the end allows us to see that it's all a children's game. I will admit that, from quite an early point in the story, I began to suspect that all was not as it seemed, but that may be the result of my having written something similar in the past. The quality of the writing is sufficient to overcome any disappointment in the denouement, at any rate. I found it to be a solid account with a nostalgic element that will be echoed in the experience of many readers. Very enjoyable, even the notes at the end proving interesting. Beholden My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
