Hello Shadow Prowler-Spreading Love !

You posted a very generous review offer in the news feed so I figured I'd poke around your portfolio and see if there was something I felt like reviewing. This story caught my eye and I decided it deserved a review.

INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW:
You wrote a thought-provoking story in your "adventures in care giving" series.

You kept me riveted throughout and made me read straight through to the end.

Congratulations on your second place win with this poem! It most certainly deserved the recognition.

MORE DETAILED FEEDBACK:

I wish there were more kind, patient, and creative care givers like you! I'm sure Dillon and Thomas were much better off for your much kinder care. Your good attitude most certainly made a difference for them and all of your clients.

Your story evoked strong emotions in me, and was interesting for me to read. It really bothers me that clients are treated so poorly by the majority of staff in places like that. Though it warms my heart that there are also people like you who make a difference every day they work. I know you make a difference every day of your life, wherever you go, and even at home. Although this is very different, it reminds me of you being the bean lady. You are generous and kind, through and through.

Your story flows nicely and, I think, would be enjoyed by anyone who read it.

I liked how you structured your story.

The picture you chose made me smile.

The career genre works well for this story.

IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER:
In the spirit of helpfulness, I have a one little suggestion to make your piece stronger. It's not a big deal at all. I just think that "impossible" in the last line would be more powerful with quotes around it. Here's what that section looks like now:
"but those impossible residents quickly became my favorite."
And here's what it would look like with my suggested change:
"but those "impossible" residents quickly became my favorite."
I think adding the quotes would stress even more that they weren't actually impossible and with actual care and creativity, they became your favorites. I really do mean well and wish you every success. *Smile* And I greatly admire your beautiful heart for people! *Heart*

CONCLUSION:
You wrote an interesting story that I enjoyed reading. Well done!

Thank you for sharing your writing with the Writing.Com community!

May love, joy and peace be yours in abundance!
PWheeler
