About This Newsletter

My searching mind wants to know,
wants to know answers to spiritual questions,
and if an online quiz can give me information
on spirituality
or what religion I should belong to.
Can an online quiz give me spiritual answers?

Letter from the editor

Since my last newsletter, I answered the questions on a couple of the spiritual online quizzes. My curious mind wanted to know if an online quiz gives me spiritual answers. The quizzes ask different questions, but they didn't tell me much that was new or spectacular. This doesn't mean they won't help someone else, so I suggest if you're curious, do an online search for "Spirituality Quizzes" and see what you get. I'll warn you now that some of the quizzes have so many pop-up ads that it's difficult or impossible to take the quiz.

After taking the quizzes, I've decided that I'm going to continue my present approach to spirituality. My approach is prayer, reading the sacred writings, meditation, and blogging or journal writing. What I did find out, was that I can't separate spirituality from my chosen religion. For me those are two sides of the same coin. Like the old song goes I "can't have one without the other".

I took the quizzes in pursuit of my search for truth. True, I have found a religion--I like to refer to is a my spiritual path--that answers questions I've had for years. I will continue to deepen in the sacred scriptures of the Baha'i Faith, because they answer my questions and satisfy my soul's desire to know God. That doesn't mean I will stop asking questions about other religious faiths or paths of spirituality. I wouldn't be doing justice to the Lord if I stopped searching. What I have found is that my searching helps deepen my faith, while demonstrating the common foundation of all religions.

I also enjoy reading and reviewing stories, essays, articles, or poems covering spiritual and religious subjects. Please let me know, if you have an item you want me to review, or you would like to submit to the newsletter.

Ask & Answer

Mary Ann MCPhedran writes: ANOTHER POEM ABOUT God
In the morning when I awake
before day break
I say a prayer to my God
I ask my Lord to guide me
whatever this day brings
And then my writing I begin
And the poems I create
are to serve my Lord
In the efforts
of life I make

Thank you for the poem. Prosperous Snow celebrating
