About This Newsletter

A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.~~Oscar Wilde

All human beings are also dream beings. Dreaming ties all mankind together.~~Jack Kerouac

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.~~T. E. Lawrence

All men of action are dreamers.~~James Huneker

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.~~Walt Disney

Dream and give yourself permission to envision a You that you choose to be.~~Joy Page

Dreams are necessary to life.~~Anais Nin

Dreams are the touchstones of our character.~~Henry David Thoreau

Dreams are today's answers to tomorrow's questions.~~Edgar Cayce

Letter from the editor

Dreams. Mmmm. Yup, we've all got them. We think, daydream, consider and get side-tracked, or diverted. We plan, try, work towards them and sometimes achieve them. When we do it is fantastic, huge, gratifying and oh--so exciting. A dream I've had for some thirty years is finally coming to fruition. I've worked towards it, cried over it, learned how and what to do. I've also learned what not to do. But it is finally, at long last coming true. Of course, yes, it has to do with writing and goes way beyond publishing my own books.

The important thing here is not the what but the fact that this love, this passion, this dream is coming true. Dreams are, I think, (for me, at least) one of the things that have kept me going, kept me working towards what other folks said was out of reach. The nay-sayers said it was for other folks, that I was reaching for something beyond my reach.

There is a song by Garth Brooks called "The River." One of the verses goes:

Too many times we stand aside
And let the waters slip away
'Til what we put off 'til tomorrow
Has now become today
So don't you sit upon the shoreline
And say you're satisfied
Choose to chance the rapids
And dare to dance the tide
.

I am chancing the rapids and dancing in the tide!!! And you know what? The water is just fine!

A love doesn't have to be a person. Consider giving your characters a passion that is a thing, an idea or a dream. Building towards that dream be it a bed and breakfast, their own antique shop or even a small press...perhaps a restaurant or maybe climbing K-2 can be the catalyst that moves them forward!

Ask & Answer

ember_rain wrote: I am so sorry you are feeling poorly, Fyn. My cousin just went into the ICU with double Pneumonia and a lesion on his lung. We are hoping it is just from the severity of the infection and not cancer or TB. Hes only 17. But he was born extreamly premature so there is always that chance it is more than it seems.

Despite being sick you did an excellent job with this newsletter. Take care of yourself, give yourself permission to sleep and always remember even sick... You are Awesome!

Thank you and yes, aside from a couple of cracked ribs from coughing, I am doing excellent and hoping your cousin is doing better too!
