Newbie Contest and Activity Hosts


Third Annual Newsletter Celebrating Newbies Who Make Things Happen


In January 2012 and January 2013, I started my year of writing the Contest & Activities Newsletter by highlighting members who joined the site the year before.

Continuing that tradition, I want to highlight the members who found Writing.Com in 2013 and who have already started to run contest, have started groups and activity forums, as well as raffles, and auctions.

Seasoned Writing.Com members and newbies alike - go check out those activities and contests. Write for them or participate? Leave them a review how you like the layout of their page. Let those newer members know that their work is seen and appreciated.

If I missed anybody, please let me know in the submission box below. I will highlight your activity in my next newsletter.

Good idea. I did at some point write a newsletter about making contest pages understandable, but it never hurts to bring that back.

Angels in my Ear wrote: This contest is unique and would be a great New Years challenge. Is this the year you will finally begin finding and recording your family history? What stories are hidden under all the dust in your attic? Can you breathe life into your past, and make your ancestors live again? If you can't, who will? "Roots & Wings Contest" 

If you run it again, make sure you keep the listing updated on "Writing Contests @ Writing.Com"  Since this newsletter is for/about the 2013 newbies, I am not listing it above in the editor's picks. But do let me know if you will keep running the contest so that I may feature it in my next NL.
