Has Mr. Winter been knocking on your door lately? We've been having some crazy weather here in the state of Misery (Missouri) but the temperatures have steadied themselves into the 40-50ies that it creates the perfect time to hide in a cozy corner to write, or read.
We strive to create the greatest, most difficult story out there filled with murder, twists, and turns, it doesn't mean we cannot find those good ol' mysteries we can huddle up with and enjoy. I mean, don't you ever get tired of thinking of the next best seller to write? It's almost impossible, at least for me, to come up with an idea after idea for a new story. Eventually, fresh air as well as fresh perspective is needed. Reading provides that.
Not every book is an action packed mystery, a 24 hour manhunt. Some are more easy going with a slower pace to enjoy rather than rush through. Each month should be spent reading at least a few different books, a genre mix if you will, to expand your knowledge, to feed and tease the senses. There are many books to chose from, a variety of writers to pick through. So how do we settle on just a few?
I've been looking around and found a list of books, which are part of a series. Perfect to snuggle up next to a warm fire or under a cozy blanket with your choice of drink and read a few.
 A Deadly Eclair (French Bistro Mystery #1) by Daryl Wood Gerber
It’s always been Mimi Rousseau’s dream to open her own bistro, but it seems beyond her grasp since she’s been chased back home to Nouvelle Vie in Napa Valley by her late husband’s tremendous debt.
