Letter from the editor

Humor about marriage is rampant, and you do not have to go far to find something to make you laugh. For instance, a million and two jokes, videos, books, poems, and even stand-up comedians use marriage for a big laugh. Here are some of the funny things you can find about the humor in marriage and the sources they are from.

Jokes

Enter the words "marriage jokes" into any search engine and you’ll find a lot of variety of riddles and quotes. Here are a couple to hold you over until you get there.

*Buttonplay* When a woman says something like: “Do what you want.” – Seriously, don’t do what you want. Stand still as a statue. No blinking. Play dead.

*Buttonplay* An elderly couple goes to their favorite restaurant they’ve been visiting for decades. The man addresses his wife with all sorts of endearments, calling her his darling, sweetheart, his treasure etc.. When the lady excuses herself and goes to the bathroom, the waiter comments to the man, “Wow, you have an amazing relationship with your wife. All those lovely names you call her.”

The man looks at him. “To be honest, it has become a necessity. I actually forgot her name about three years ago.”

Stand-up Comedians

These men and women receive a ton a laughs when they start talking about relationships and marriage. Most of them are men, and I have to say I laugh a lot because it's coming from their perspective, but I’m not going to say any of it’s true. *Whistle* Here’s just one sample.

Novels

Search out humorous books to read about other people's humorous experiences on marriage. You may not realize just how many there are to read for a laugh, and why do you laugh? Come on be honest. It’s because you can relate to it! What we really should be doing is writing our own funny stories, not just for the laughs but because we can make a million or two, right?

Whether they know it or not, even kids get involved in the humor of marriage.

This kid has the best advice!

I’ll leave you will my all-time favorite video on marriage. I know I’ve posted it before, but it’s so much fun to watch over again. It also reminds me how I live with this exact same thing once in a while, so you just have to laugh!

A sig for the best genre in the world--Comedy!
