About This Newsletter

Hello everyone, I’m Samberine Everose and I'm here again your guest editor this week in the Spiritual Topic of the WDC Newsletter, and just like I've always been saying, I will not be tired in expressing my thankfulness to all the beautiful people here in this wonderful community of writers for not only helping us to improve our writings but giving us also encouragement and inspiration every day. *Smile*

My topic now is the root of our miseries, why we are experiencing and we are prone to have miseries or sufferings in our life. Is it a part of being here in this world?
Do these sufferings will be ended. Yes Indeed, we can be survived on it.
Before we know on how to survive on miseries, we should know first the cause and its root.

Letter from the editor

Why human lives in miseries?
First Part of Two

Anyone would not like to have those bad stuff in our life or be in miseries. Right?
like sufferings into sickness and die? but as long as we are still living here in this world, whether we like it or not we will expect miseries and problems to come in us every day.

Miseries/sufferings or problems can be a consequence of our wrongdoings, sometimes its a challenge that develops a good attitude, it's a way to strengthen our faith or a blessing in disguise. We can maybe choose to have it or not. This can be a natural phenomenon, its a part of us human. And this can be a life-threatening too, a devastating to our life or our loved ones. It can be in any form that may affect us physically, mentally or emotionally to our well being.

But sometimes when sufferings and miseries are tormenting us already, we often ask and blame God why we have those problems and miseries and its happening to us.

But did you know that God is not the one who gave us these miseries or sufferings or bad things in our life? (Job 1:10-12)
Yes, He let these problems to come to us, for us to become a better person, remember that everything that God has given is good and for our betterment. {Jeremiah 29:11)
He can even turn our sufferings to joy. (Psalm 30:11)
And most often, He is The One who can help us to find solutions and give solutions to these problems if we just only let Him. (Isaiah 41:10)

Everything that God created is good, from the first day until the sixth day of His creation and the seventh day as the day of rest,(Genesis 1:31) everything was good until it comes in the scene where the serpent tempted the first man and woman and they disobeyed God. (Genesis 3: 1-8)

This is where miseries, sufferings especially sickness of human took place, and different problems arise and are upgrading every day, just because of that first sin involved and are evolving. The disobedience of the first man and woman, sin, that brought a curse to the entire humanity which led us to have miseries, we'll grow old and die. (Romans 5:12-14)

So everything that was created before in a good condition, twinning to arise the bad things already.
Not only the green grasses grow but also there are already weeds that are growing.

When you've created a masterpiece and an intruder or say it your enemy laid some things to distract your crafted work so that you will not succeed, what will be your feeling? what you will be going to do?
Well, a typical human will be going to recreate the masterpiece again or chose to create another one, especially if those things that the enemy embedded caused a big damage to the craft already. Right?

But God is full of mercy and don't have that kind of thinking as humans think. He is kind. His nature is Love. He passions His masterpiece. (Psalm 145:8) Though, He wanted to end the caused of miseries of humans, but just because He loves us. He loves us the sinner, but not the sin, instead of changing immediately everything of His creation, which includes vanishing you and me and creates a new one. He gave the human race a chance. He can't stand to see humans die forever. He has a PLAN. A Great Plan even sacrificing His own self -His Son, in order to save us. *Heart*

His Great Plan for us.

Hi Sam. I would be the Explanation/Opinion/ Judge. Thanks for this mini-lesson. Love all the contest links!
~Seshat

Thank you, Seshat for your comment.

Samberine,

Thank you for your insights on judging. I tend to use The "Choose the Best" style of judging for my two short story contests. In my poetry contest, due to my lack of technical knowledge, I share the judging with Sally (former English teacher) who is my technical judge while I am the subjective judge. This seems to work out well for us.
