How you use Writing.Com is entirely up to you. This is your party, after all.

How is it your party?

Simple: You can cry if you want to.

Not really. Well, you can. But why would you?

You can instead find contests in just about any genre that will get your writing fingers flying over the keyboard. The beauty of contests is that you have a lot of other people to write with. Most of them will be your adversaries in the quest for badges, ribbons, gift points or even just five stars.

You can't deny that (in most contests) you will feel like part of a group of people united around the same goal: Convincing the judges that each of your entries is the best. So choose your contest and just put your best foot, I mean, words forward. You can't win if you don't try.

You also get activities where you are able to participate and win a multitude of prizes. There are writing activities, auctions, raffles, and some activities that don't really fit a specific "Activity Genre" but still make you excited to be part of the party.

Can't find a party to join? Make your own and invite everyone along by posting about it on the Newsfeed, on the Activities page, or on the Contests page.

Just as long as you're part of the party!
