Around the World in 24 Hours
Every year, a couple of days before Christmas, a covert specialist from NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) travels to the North Pole and hides a GPS tracker in Rudolph's nose. That's why we can track him from space by his shiny red nose. Once that red nose is a few time zones away, it's time to go to bed and sleep.
Rudolph, you must know, is a reindeer who pulls the sled that is filled with toys for all the children all around the whole earth in one short 24-hour period.
Rudolph isn't alone in his job. There are Donner, Blitzen, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Dunder and Vixen too. They all make that sled go to every single home on the globe.
No action/adventure is complete without some peril.
Along for the ride is an old guy who spent his year making toys to give out. Now, in one night, he is going to climb down and back up every chimney in the world. He can only hope there is no fire in the chimney. We must never try to meet this man. Because that man is very shy. He only talks to cookies and glasses full of milk.
There have been many stories surrounding those reindeer and the man who travels along with them. All of those stories include some of the major hallmarks of action/adventure.
There is travel. There are deadlines. There are high stakes. What if a house is overlooked? There are trees to fly over. Planes not to crash into. And there is the whole world tracking them via satellite.
You can probably find stories involving some version of Christmas in any genre. When you boil down the modern Christmas experience that Rudolph and his reindeer friends have, it is the ultimate action adventure. While so much is planned in advance, like the traveling day, there are so many variables. The weather, the children, the parents ... and those grouches ...
As you see in the Editor's Picks, Christmas is the ideal backdrop for an action adventure story.

The idea of getting outside and cleaning up nature it great, but after working security at a home improvement store for the last several years on Black Friday, I prefer not to venture anyplace from Thanksgiving afternoon until late Friday night or even Saturday morning.
Hahaha. I believe you have done your best for Black Friday. Maybe you can try the movie going tip from above
