Work by Jackson Pollock. (between 2 panes of glass.) ~ National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa. (flash reflection unintended)
This is a very poor reproduction. Sorry about that.
The work itself, after some time viewing, suddenly becomes a delicate tracery floating in space. At least, it does to me.

Item mentioned in [Link To Item #772340] .
Voice of Fire by Barnett Newman ~ National Gallery of Canada.

Abstract Expressionist Item mentioned in [Link To Item #772340] The colors are red and blue, so this reproduction is obviously inaccurate. Even so, if you are unfamiliar with abstract art, I suggest that you fix your gaze upon it from this distance for 30 seconds, when movement, color change, and depth will appear, among other effects. Even in this reproduction many people see some of this. Most gallery visitors give the painting only a passing glance. While no work of art can be appreciated that way, abstract art can not even be seen! ...
Painting by Mark Rothko ~ National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa.

With your screen at maximum contrast and brightness, this reproduction is reasonably accurate. After 30 seconds or so of staring at it, depth should appear. The large white oblong may become a window on infinity, Other effects are equally valid.

Abstract Expressionist Item mentioned in [Link To Item #772340]
"Maman" by Louise Bourgeois. ~ Plaza of the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa, Ontario. (The Parliament of Canada is visible in the background). Maman is a sculpture cast in bronze, and is 30 feet tall.
