This poem is about a moment in my busy life when i paused and wondered how I had got there
The clockwork clangs, the clicking clocks
Remind me that I must go on.
Familiar voices in my sphere
Are there at dark, are there at dawn

When I awake my program plans
It's start, it's middle and it's end
And when it's dark, recharging has
It's time, it's place, my stable friend

I hear the clock but still I pause
To stare at Jane upon the wall
It strikes and I consider that
I do not know her, not at all.

But now I see the Time - Alas!
I must not dawdle, must not wait
My schedule runs, I must obey.
Must not be late. Must not be late.
