A poem to inspire the soul and open the heart and free the mind.
A gentle hand calloused beyond age
A wrinkled parchment taken from a torn page
Polite magic from the soul of a proud man
Prayers told to a small boy of a promised land

Tears roll down an unshaven cheek, a warm smile
Magic in his soft blue eyes, sitting for awhile
Oh Lord he cries through the deathly pain
A whisper from the stars falling like the rain

Falling asleep on his lap, waiting for the morn
I see grandpa in my soul, a child sad and forlorn
Grandpas' prayer on my lips whispering in the wind
Goodbye grandpa you forever remain my friend
