My soldier son, whom I know, had I asked, this is what you'd have said - Ur Proud Mom
My heart is so heavy,
Should I let you know?
Such a sadness within me,
As I watch you go.

I've protected and loved you,
For so many years.
Now I must fight,
To hold back the tears.

I must find the strength,
To push My fears aside.
What's most important to me now,
Is what You feel inside.

If I asked, would you tell me,
If I asked, would you stay?
Would you open your heart to me,
Is This What You'd Say?

"Please know that I love you,
And I don't want to leave.
But now I must go fight,
To keep our Country Free!"

"Every day that I'm gone,
Say a prayer for me out loud.
I'll come home if God wills,
Either way, I'll Make You PROUD!"
