Trying to get people to understand.
You say you only want to help. If you only could. It is not as easy as you may think. I will try to help you help me.

Here's a list of things not to do:
1)Don't say things like "You'll get over this." or "You just don't want to get better." It only frustrates and isn't really believed the first time anyway.
2)Don't threaten to harm. Depressed people don't care or worse.
3)Don't try to "fix" things or people.
4)Don't try to understand everything or every situation.
5)Don't suffocate.

Here's a list of things that you can do:
1)Listen: Your ears don't work when your mouth is open.
2)Ask if we need help.
3)Ask how you can help.
4)Do the request.
5)Relax
6)Investigate- Books, Doctors, support groups
7)Take care of yourself.

These are just the tip of the ice-berg when it comes to "helping" There are new idea, articles and meds coming out every day. It is not going to go away. It is not going to be overcame in one day. We all can conquer this horrible condition if we work together!

Thanks for reading.
