Dedicated to my daughter
Newborn one, you come to me,

like a mysterious ripple,

that breaks the smooth surface of a peaceful

pond.


Like a sudden rainstorm,

crashing with thunder and blinding with lightning;

not even a single drop before to herald the

coming onslaught.

Your cherubs' face attacks my banded heart

with a ferocity it was not made to bear.

Defence from such an assault is

laughable. . .

loving you the only choice available.

Like the leaves of autumn, so has my heart

changed it's colors and fallen
