Twitch and molt
shifty eyed bird.
Stick out your neck and stare.

Shiver needy chick.

Point your beak at me,

will you?
Prune your neck swollen soft. Command my attention
tempered glass eyes.

No, I cannot see a bird’s soul in the gleam of the marbles.
