Two young men try to help the world they live in. Only to become the only ones who can.
"Kai?" William called into the darkness, trying to find his companion. "Kai!?!" Stumbling slightly with exhaustion, he kept walking through the forest, determined to find the fallen angel. "Kai!?!" He kept yelling a few tears running down his dirt covered face, creating streaks of pale and brown. With a final stumble, he fell to the ground, too tired to move. "Kai." He whispered full of despair.

Opening his eyes, Kai gasped in pain as the sunlight entered his eyes, using his arm to shield the light out. Slowly he sat up, cringing at the stiff feeling that filled his every limb. 'What happened?' He asked himself as he tried to remember... A fire... Screams...The coppery scent of blood...Shaking his head, he tried to rid himself of the images. He looked around at his surroundings to find large trees looming over him. ‘I must be in a forest.' He concluded before looking at his clothes as he felt a breeze against his bronze flesh. His shirt was torn across the stomach as though with a sword and his pants were cut at the knee on each leg. Besides that, everything seemed in tack...William...The thought sent him into a flurry of movement. Where was William? 'I know he was beside me at one point and that he stayed near me the whole time, but where is he now?'
"Guess I'll just have to find him...Hopefully soon..."He said, trailing off at the end as he heard his own raspy, gruff voice. With a sigh and cringe, he stood up, brushing what dirt he could from his shirt and jeans. He ran a hand through his hair before looking for his sword. There it was, still sheathed and tied to his belt. He shook his head at the amusement of it all.
Being the hunter he was, he looked at the ground to see if he could find any trace of a human nearby. Sure enough, pair of boot prints was present in the dirt. 'Still Fresh...Must have been by here recently.' He thought as he began to follow them deeper into the forest.

'What's going on?' William asked himself as he lifted his body from the cell floor. 'Where am I?' His questions were soon answered as he spotted a tapestry on the wall of a sword with white wings. 'Carnesir.' He thought with even more despair. Carnesir were the angels of death. Beings left on earth to kill all who disobeyed them. Bad luck for him. He was part of the Maglor. A group dedicated to changing the laws in Lithowania, his world, and helping any who tried also. The two groups were bitter enemies. 'Where's Kai when you need him?' He thought with humor; then sadness. 'Yes. Where is Kai?'
A creak echoed through the dungeon as the door was opened. Turning his head toward his cell door, he felt a sting of pain; then nothing as he passed out.

The footprints led him to a small camp of Carnesir. Watching the group, he realized something important was going on. ‘I need to get closer. It could have something to do with the Maglor.' Kai thought to himself as he crept closer to what seemed to be the main tent.
"Who is he?" Said a heavily accented normanic voice.
“He said something along the line of Magline and then passed out completely." A sweeter voice said this time. Kai's blood ran cold...Magline...William Magline...Wil.
"Is he still alive? The normanic voice asked.
“Yes, but barely. Those orcs went crazy on him. Two herbers are working on him as we speak.” The sweet voice said. Kai almost sighed with relief. The herbers would keep him alive for a long time if necessary.
"I want to speak with him and then he can die. Where is he located?" Another calm and airy voice asked.
“In the southern dungeon, cell 5."The sweet voice answered. Having heard enough, Kai ran back into the forest. 'He's at Castle Carnesir. Just great. I have to help him before it's too late.' He thought as he ran through the forest once more.

Pain...That was all William could feel as the two herbers worked on him...Just pain...'Where are you Kai?'

Looking at the castle, Kai studied it closely. 'How am I going to get in?' He finally noticed the kitchen door was open. 'Perfect.' Slipping inside unnoticed, he crouched low to the ground in a shaded corner as two servant boys walked pass talking about the new prisoner.
"I heard they already killed him and that the Lord Angel was really angry about it." The taller one said.
"No. He's still alive. I saw him this morning. Almost dead, but definitely alive. The Lord Angel's mad because he is almost dead." The shorter one stated as though clearing everything up. Kai waited till they had passed before going down the stairs to the lower servant quarters. Managing to get pass the two guards, Kai made his way to the dungeons. 'This is too easy.' He thought as he soon stood outside cell number five. The sight made him see red quickly. ‘I’ll kill those orcs for hurting William.'
William lay on a pad of straw, his wounds still freshly opened. His shirt lay cut and disguarded in the corner. He still wore his black jeans and boots. Pulling out his lock pick kit, he quickly unlocked the cell door. "Wil." He whispered, kneeling beside the broken figure.

"Will." He heard through the darkness. "Come on, Wil, wake up for me. We need to get out of here." 'Who is that?' William thought as he fought to open his eyes. 'Kai. Is that Kai?' He fought even harder now and managed to just slit his eyes. That was enough as he spotted Kai's rough looking form.
"You look horrible, Kai. Couldn't you even take a shower before you came?" He said softly with sarcasm. Kai smiled sadly.
"I had to come get you. I didn't know what had happened and you know what happens when I get curious. Only you weren't there to stop me from finding out." He said, his voice still a whisper. "I'm going to get you out of here and back to Maglor Manor." Kai gently picked him up, tucking his head between his chest and bicep. "Just stay awake until we get there. Okay?" He pleaded, looking at the body in his arms.
"I think I can do that, Kai. I'll try." William said, relaxing slightly. Nodding his head, Kai quickly left the cell and ran to the dungeon door. Slipping pass the guard once more, he made his way out into the castle; then the kitchen and soon the forest.
Kai finally stopped when he was many miles from Castle Carnesir before setting William on the ground. He watched William cringe slightly, but relax once more. "Jeez. What did they do to you, William?" He said with disbelief as he looked his companion over. William just shook his head slowly, taking a deep breath.
