                   "Yard Cat"


Yard Cat
         sat
Near my window
Peering in from outside,
With eyes of yellow
Opened wide.

Yard Cat
         mapped
His way along the retaining wall,
Stepping slightly feeling the ledge
With never a fall.
Finding me was his pledge.
