love poem to my girlfriend
a tilt of the head to the left
a slight nod to a secret angle
a breath in anticipation
luscious lips like none I've known
a seductive; yet playful smile

soft and sweet like heavenly gifts with the faintest taste of what mortals could only imagine as ambrosia

light pink with a flush of red
softer than silk and more gentle than air

what godly gifts i have been bestowed
not only one on top but one below

two lips more gorgeous than Apollo and Dionysus themselves
Cupids arrow could not have been more direct had he stabbed it by hand
that thing sweeter than life and more precious than a new born babe

but OH, that sensation when our lips meet
i can only pray that some day you may grant me another kiss
