because nothing lasts forever
I glance longingly back at my childhood home
Perhaps never there to return
The sign said just sold as my thoughts turned to gold
Nostalgia that in my heart burned.
Was it for this house this timber abode
That I lost all control for and cried?
No. I wept for the man that I called my Dad
Who once dwelled there inside.
