A sparkleless eye
A missing smile
Empty of hope
But just for a while

My yearning for you
Leaves me tired and weak
Where is the light
From you that I seek

My angel so far
From my wanting touch
Every day drags on
As I miss you so much

A penny in the well
A wish for you home
Is all I have left
To not be alone
