My beliefs on humanity.
It’s hard to write these things out
When my heart is stumbling over the words
I think the tears
Are making my thoughts incoherent

I’m not me anymore
I haven’t been for awhile
I just smile and keep on pretending
While I’m dying inside

The constant pain has turned into a numbness
My heart…my heart has been torn apart
The tiny pieces scattered like broken glass on the floor
Much like my life being ripped open

Close my eyes and focus on breathing,
Wake up and make it through another day.

It’d be a lie to say I’m frightened by the thought of dying
Because inside I’m waiting for that day more than anyone else
