Some thoughts on the modern world
Terrible scars score the land, grim memorials of past sins. Deep wounds fester, refusing to heal. Stigmata of man’s greed. The mark of Cain branded on Eden’s garden. Progress tainting the water of life, the seas boiling black with spilt blood. Souls drowning in a crimson sludge, bogged in a poisonous morass.

Civilization a devouring beast, breathing noxious fumes. Flames leaping from its gaping maw, searing the skies. Smoke blotting out the sun. Seeking to become gods we quest for the very secret of life but find only death. An inattentive, neglectful potter, our designs emerge skewed, fragile, cracked.

Knowledge without wisdom, power without control. Spoiled children destroying without thought. Science a fickle god, it’s believers worshiping the how without questioning the why. Welcome to the world of tomorrow. The new order that promises technologically induced Nirvana but brings only mutually assured, self generated Armageddon.
