A poem about a dream I had...and what ruined it.
Last night I dreamt,
It was such a rush,
Last night I dreamt
I married my crush.
I know it sounds barmy, but it was a good fling,
Before the clay golem army ruined everything.

She said “Marry me!”
I couldn’t believe my ears,
I felt so happy
That she called me dear,
In that dream she loved me, and gave me her all,
Before the clay golem army broke through the wall.

We went out for dinner
As friends, nothing more
But outside the diner
The girl I adored
Told me she loved me, and wanted me forever,
Then the clay golem army charged down the river.

I remember her saying
What I wanted to hear,
“Tonight you’ll be staying
At my house, dear.”
It would have been beautiful, if I had gone inside,
But then clay golems attacked the countryside.

If that kiss was real,
I’d never forget it,
But upon the waking zeal,
Out of reach it floated.
Her lips felt soft and warm against my own lips,
Of course, that was when the golems turned my house into shit.

Why do I keep going on
About golems all through the night?
Well if it weren’t for yon
Golems laying waste left and right,
I’d have married my crush, at least in my dreams,
But even that is to be denied me it seems.

It was a great dream dammit,
Leave me alone!!!
Why’d you guys have to ruin it,
By attacking my home?
I’ve never done you wrong, villains, so why
Did you ruin my dream of her last night?

If it weren’t for the golems,
We would have been together,
If it weren’t for the golems,
We’d still be forever,
At least in my dreams, but hey, that’s the thing,
I don’t want any golems to spoil everything.

Though it was just a dream, it was still nice
To have it last night and it would suffice
But in the waking world,
She’s just a crush, no more,
Maybe that’s why the golem army broke down the door.

Author's note:This was written in class the morning after I woke up from a dream where I married my crush. It would have been a nice dream, except for the fact that towards the end of the dream, clay golems started attacking and ruined the romantic mood of the dream. *Cry*
