The Potter's Wheel
Wheel of Love

I fought against the Potter's Wheel
For days and days on end;
No joy or gladness did I feel,
Until I learned to bend.

"I will not break the ones I love,"
He whispered from His heart
And then I knew the secret
Of the Potter's ancient art.

My fears subdued, my heart grew still,
My life became a whole;
I rested 'gainst the Potter's wheel,
To please Him was my goal.

And still it is the Potter's will,
That I should learn to bend;
Ever patient, pliant still,
Until I'm His to send.
