My son Charlie was on a bicycle when he was killed by a drunk driver.

Charlie

Charlie turned 10 and wanted a bike for his birthday.
He could ride with friends when he was asked to play.
Charlie was killed by an car in the blink of the eye.
All I could do was watch as I hung my head to cry.

The speeding car hit him he did not stand a chance.
Riding on his new bike I watch it all in just a glance.
A drunk driver ran over my little boy riding his bike.
My joy in life was taken away right before my eyes.

Much sadness has replaced the love in my heart.
My son is now gone forever my world was torn apart.
Charlie was just a kid he was my only precious child.
This driver was on a rampage driving drunk and wild.

If it is God's will and He blesses me with another son.
He won't ride a bike on a street and killed by someone.
I have no way to bring my boy back to me in any way.
I pray to God that He protects children when they play.
