"...and while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
You called My name, I came...
You asked Me to put My Father to shame;
The Devil tempted and I resisted,
yet you deny My existence.

My hands were bound and tied;
You bloodied My back and I cried,
"Dear Father! Forgive them!"
and "They know not! Forgive them!"

A crown of thorns was put on My head,
and when I didn't resist you said,
"Prove you are King, save yourself!"
yet I remained quiet above all else.

You tore My hands with tough black nails,
nailed Me to the cross and I gave Myself.
And over all the noise, the constant yell
"Save Yourself!"
