A desire to turn the volume down
Abducted Silence

Not an absence of noise, but a pause in time,
A brief respite against tapping keys and tapping feet,
Of humming screens and humming people
And all the other little sounds drip into our ears
And drip into our heads
And drip into our minds
And pool there.

To crave the pause
To dream the pause
To will the pause into existence and to hold it
Gently while perched above the noise
That would play the pause
That would break the pause
That would instigate and reiterate the clamour of the ape-like beasts below
Who could simply not understand the cleanness
And beauty
Of a pause.
