When you die you soul departs your body, when death overcomes you your flooded away.
Flooded in sorrow in misery
Lost in this sea without even a widow’s plea.
Surrounded by the demon that took thine soul
Soon this current shall make my rock roll
Away into the night,
Far away, Too far for sight.
My soul is dead and all that within,
Taken from me by the demons of bloody sin.
Dark liquids rise up to my door,
And from there comes the body of my amor.
My soul lies dead within that flood,
It’s taken all from me except for my blood.
Drowning I’m washed from my house,
Damn these waters for having taken my spouse!
My body is now taken from me,
My spirit and soul should soon be set free.
But I still have my blood, it cannot take that.
My blood is mine I know that for fact.
It took my love, my soul and my life,
It won’t take me with such little strife.
I let it take my husband from his wife,
Never shall it take me away from this life!
Up I surge towards the new moon,
Away from these waters, far from my doom.
Higher, higher into twilight’s rise,
Towards heaven above, those un-turbulent skies.
With grief I look down I exit the waters,
And I grieve of the time when children had fathers.
But now look at me taking to the sky,
The waters took me, t’was my time to die.
To heaven in failure my soul did glide.
Now look, my God looks down at me beaming with pride.
I struggled for life, without even a love there,
And for that I now leave my soul forever in his care.
