Love that "pretends" to be hot is actually ice cold. It burns.
"Frozen Flames"

In my heart's pain
There is a frozen flame
That always let me know
Your love-fire is actually cold

Each spark
Burning my heart
Is another ice crystal
Spurred on by the maniacal

This frozen fire-storm sears
My soul; from you it also appears
To be a brutal blizzard of ice cinders
Your love tokens prove to be pretenders
