This is a small piece about being lost and scared, but through it all finding the light...
In the darkness I walk.
The road beneath me is broken, torn, and rocky.
Several times I trip and fall, tearing the flesh on my hands and knees.
At times I would attempt to stand, yet something would push me down again.
I stand, I cry, I continure to travel down this rough and rocky path.
Feeling lost and defeated, I fall in the darkness again.
This time hitting my face on the broken road, screaming, crying, and refusing to move, I yell at God for letting me fall.
In the darkness I feel a hand on my head, a gentle touch, soft and soothing.
There in the darkness is a bright light.
A light revealing a young woman's face.
With piercing eyes, fiery red hair, plush lips, and a smooth voice, she tells me to breathe.
She takes my hands, cleans my cuts, and wipes the tears away.
Then, slowly, we begin to walk the path together. Her presence is amazing.
With her guidance the path becomes less broken, less rough.
My cuts still burn the tears continue to tumble down my cheek, but her presence makes all the difference.
She will continue to walk with me, guide me, teach me, until the day the darkness fades away.
