A Day at the Circus.
Today is Friday, January 19, 2007.

Tonight on this day, I went to the Shrine Circus at the Dow Event Center. I had a wonderful night at the Circus. Me and my dad arrived at the Dow Event Center around 6:30 and went to find our seats. We sat in the upper level in the arena, in the very front row. This was on the end of the home team of the Saginaw Spirt Hockey Team. We found out shortly after sitting down it would have been more benefical to sit in the center of the arena.

The first act we saw at the circus was the flying trapeze act. There were three men and two women in the act the men did the performing of the acts. One was on a swing and after he got going another one started to swing and both of the went upside down and the first one swinging had to try to catch the other ones hands and on the first try he missed and the guy fell to the net and the audience went "ooh" and they tried it again and the crowd cheered them on since it worked. They went on to try do three at once and could not get that to work.

The next act we saw was that of the tigers. They act was an awesome act to see. They went through a hoop that had fire going around it.The audience cheered every time the tiger went through it. Another tiger climb up on to a platform attached to a ball and balanced on that, and the crowd cheered once again.

The third act we saw was that of the performing bears. I was amazed by the way the bears performed. One bear rode on a bike just like anyone else would ride on. Another bear rode a motercyle just like an adult would ride. Two of the bears sat in a chair just like humans do and they also sat on a ball and rolled it around.

The forth act we saw was the unicyle rider in one ring, a lady performer in the second ring and in the third ring was a man and kid doing acts together. These acts were amazing and the unicyle rider road his bike around cones and also rode two different styles of bikes, one that was tall and one that was short.

The fifth act was that of the lady that balanced things on her nose and woudl climb up on a ladder and would climb back down with out dropping the thing he was balancing on her nose. Her final act was that of balancing what look like a tree and she added flags to it and then climbed up the ladder and balanced it all the way up and all the way down.

More to come about the circus soon!!
