A reflection concerning loss
The biting wind, torrential rains,
The midnight day and heavy night
Drown out the words of Promise,
Hope's dreams of Spring take flight.

The New Year's expectations
Of fortune, free from stress,
Are somehow lost 'midst grey
World's noise, to sterile emptiness.

Thus ends the human folly,
The pride of self and will.
That sinks in lamentation
And mourns its' loss until-

The eyes of faith are opened,
And see past earth's sore view.
To find true beauty, free from that
Which feeble senses rue.

His righteous Plan, His glorious reign,
Era of light, Divine Decision,
Now lift the weakened spirit-soul,
Beyond its' earth-bound vision.
