A poem on counting loneliness.
How many more years?
A score and a ten?
How many more nights?
1,001?
How many more tears?
As big as Lake Biwa?
How many more heart beats?
A million more?

Yamete kudasai…
Tasukete kudasai…
(Please stop…
Please help me…)

A couple more and hearts will break
Words will hurt
Anger will kill
The heart will stop feeling

Nothing more is worth it
to a drifting soul
drinking on listlessly
to a void of strong drink
to a fog of dry ice
to a heaven of sniff

No, there is no ale, nor cigar, nor drugs
only the inhale of pressure, of stress, of aloofness
to the thing called life.

Yamete kudasai…
Tasukete kudasai…
(Please stop…
Please help me…)
