Rewritten - Poem about a woman with Lupus (Latin for wolf) and it's predatory nature.
Draft from new viewpoint (Third Person Singular - Rheumatologist):

The Wolf At Her Door

The wolf waits to pounce on his prey.
Catching his quarry off guard,
Oblivious to the hidden danger
Lurking in the darkness.

Cunning like the wolf,
It mimics other diseases,
Tricking her into denial,
Filling her with false hopes.

Until her immune system
Strikes yet again, and
Perceiving itself a threat,
Ravages its own antibodies.

Mistaking them as enemies,
Spreading insidiously,
Depleting her body's resources
To stave off infections.

Until her body is consumed
By a pitiless predator.
An ironic twist of fateā€¦
Lupus, a wolf in the night.
