A poem in which I wrote describing the feelings of a young girl.
She knows the glow of the fire will not chase away her fears.
The light flickered in her eyes,
        Her dark,
            piercing, eyes.
Over years she had become wise of many things,

She knew of pain and of suffering,
She knew of joy and of celebration.
And yes,
She knew of love,
But of course, she knew of love.
She knew it in all it's shapes, and it's sizes.
All it's moments of happiness,
And the terrible heartache it creates.

She knew of a great, many things.
And as the light flickered in her eyes,
      Her dark,
          piercing, eyes.
She knows the glow of the fire will not chase her fears away.
